Menaggio, schöne Uferpromenade mit kleinem Altstadtkern. Im Sommer Samstag Abend Künstlermarkt an der Uferpromenade. Hier gibt es das beste Pistazieneis, im kleinen Minicafe an der Uferpromenade hinten nach altem Hotel, an einem schmalen Durchgang für die Straße, vor der Statue für die Seidenspinnerei, dort kann man auch auf teilweise weißen Parkplätze parken und von dort in die Stadt laufen.

Menaggio is a picturesque town of ancient origins overlooking Lake Como. It is loved by tourists all over the world, especially because of its elegant lake promenade and its proximity to very popular towns such as Bellagio and Varenna.

The town Menaggio is situated in the heart of Lake Como, on its western shore, at the beginning of a valley that connects Menaggio with lake Lugano. Its central position makes it a lively town and well connected with public transport. The heart of the town is gathered around Piazza Garibaldi surrounded by cafés and restaurants. Strolling along Menaggio's lovely lake side promenade enjoying the stunning view of the lake surrounded by its lovely mountains is a heart warming experience. In the historical centre of Menaggio there are many interesting monuments which recall its importance throughout the ages. In Via Calvi among fashionable shops, on the facade of the church of S. Marta, the memorial plaque of Minicio Exorato, a notable of the Roman empire testifies the long history of the town. Narrow cobble stoned alleys lead up to the area called castello, the medieval part of Menaggio.
