one of several adjacent parks along the Housatonic river. There is a small beach here, hiking trails through forest and a large picnic area. If visiting during the summer there is a parking fee at this park but none if visiting outside the summer season.
Approx 30 mins from the lake house. A wonderful campground, shaded picnic area, and views of beautiful Lake Zoar on the Housatonic River make Kettletown State Park a popular recreation destination. Swimming is no longer permitted.
Six miles of maintained hiking trails that offer panoramic overlooks high above Lake Zoar. Most of the blue blazed Pomperaug Trail is found in the park, and visitors can find a variety of terrain, flora, and fauna along its length.
