Great food & shops 45mins car journey from Downderry or why not catch the Cremyll foot ferry
This is a really great place to visit. It has many eating places. I particularly like La Piere, a French restaurant. Very friendly and very good food.
A historic victualling yard built in the 18th Century for use by the Royal Navy. Now a place for eating and drinking, independent boutiques and pop up art shows. Also a great place to visit by ferry from the Barbican.
Hop on and off the Royal William Yard, Barbican & Mount Edgcumbe ferry service, linking three iconic destinations on the water. Experience the restaurants, bars and boutique shopping at Royal William Yard, the historic house and acres of stunning Country Park at Mount Edgcumbe in Cornwall and…
Amazing places to eat out in a stunning location - Lovely wine bars too. Catch the Cremyl Ferry to Mount Edgcumbe for a great day out.

“Whether it’s dazzling views you seek, a new dining or shopping experience you’re keen to enjoy or just want to learn some history, Plymouth’s Waterfront destinations offer something for everyone. Each part of the Waterfront has a different story to tell. The historic Barbican and Sutton Harbour are the heart of the city’s heritage with the oldest buildings and the greatest number of historical stories. It’s also a place where an eclectic cuisine mix of Italian, Greek, Turkish, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Himalayan, Mexican and British restaurants may all be found!”
