The Hokkaido Shiki Theatre is used exclusively by Japan’s famous Shiki Theatre Company. It is famous for long-running musical the Lion King, which has exceeded over 10,000 performances, making it the most performed play in the history of Japan, as well as many other musicals that attract people of all ages including adults and children alike from not only Sapporo, but visitors from inside and outside of the prefecture as well. The theatre offers free seat cushion rentals, allowing the seating height to be adjusted for children under 130 cm tall so that they can see the stage.
