It's the closest sushi place... but not necessarily the best. I'd recommend Ocean or Haru (on Amsterdam) instead.

It seems to be a common trend among NYC Asian establishments to be liberal with the booze. Astoria’s Matsu Sushi has hopped on this benevolent bandwagon and offers free wine with all its entrees.

Delicious Japanese food! Great lunch specials around $10 including sushi rolls and yummy teriyaki salmon:)
