It's quite a hike to the vista but worth it. There are urban legends that this was the site/scene for John Wayne's moving "The Searchers." My grandpa was half Cherokee. I don't think he let the truth get in the way of a good story for the kids.

Take the trail up Mt Pleasant (moderate incline) and on a clear day you can see downtown Columbus and beyond!

Be certain to hike up to Mt. Pleasant for amazing views of Lancaster.
