The Gorner gorge offers a thrilling adventure for the whole family. Since the last ice age, the waters of the Gornervispe have carved an ever deeper chasm. Access for tourists was created back in 1886 and 1887. The rock, greenish serpentinite, is about 220 million years old. This natural spectacle is a 15-minute walk from the end of the village of Zermatt.

Nice visit through superb gorges. About 30 minutes of visit. The site is accessible on foot from the village of Zermatt. The price for the visit is CHF 5.- for adults and free for children. Accessible only outside the winter season.

The Gorner gorges are breathtaking and a must-see in Zermatt. With a 5 CHF fee (2.5 for kids), we recommend the 30 minute walk from the flat to the entrance.
