Beautifully curated museum with war artifacts, agrarian tools, and fine house decor, as well as a section dedicated for children to play and learn about the early Eastern Townships European settlers.

This very interesting museum shows a real glimpse into what life was like in the townships 150 years ago. Definetely a must-see. Great stop if you have children. They will love the children's museum which they may want to spend hours in.

Le musée est situé en plein cœur de Knowlton (ville de Lac-Brome). Facile d’accès, il comprend de nombreux bâtiments : l’ancienne caserne de pompiers; un musée pour enfants; l’Annexe Martin, où se trouve un avion de la Première Guerre mondiale, un des rares au monde en parfaite condition; l’ancien palais de justice, qui date de 1858 et où se trouve actuellement les archives du musée; l’ancienne Académie Knowlton et plus encore. Notre musée possède la plus grande collection d’artéfacts de la Première Guerre mondiale à l’extérieur du Musée canadien de la guerre à Ottawa. La maison du fondateur de Knowlton a été ajoutée au site en octobre 2014. Le Musée Lac-Brome un lieu parfait pour les amoureux d’histoire, pour une sortie familiale mémorable et plus encore!
