Grab your bikes and take in the magnificent views along this 42km trail. What was once an old railway line now plays host to one of the most scenic bike routes in Ireland. You can hire a bike in Westport and make your way to Achill via Newport and Mulranny. Mulranny is home to one of the many beautiful beaches e have near Westport. Most of the bike hire places offer a shuttle bus service which I find is great. The Greenway traverses Ireland’s Atlantic coast between Westport town and Achill Island and visits the picturesque villages of Newport and Mulranny. It passes by some of the West of Ireland’s most dramatic mountains and offers magnificent views of Clew Bay and its many islands.
