If you’re a vegan soul food lover, this will be your jam! It’s a casual neighborhood place and feels like the kind of restaurant you might find in Portland, Oregon. The crowd is very mixed, which I love. On Sundays they have a DJ spinning tunes while you eat, and at night the downstairs becomes a speakeasy. The chickpea hush puppies. Get two orders while you’re at it. They are that good—and packed with protein and fiber, they are good for you, too!
