This is a favorite stop for us every time we are in town! All of the items in this store are made by prison inmates and most everything is carved from wood. Plenty of unique gift items to bring home, from cutting boards to rocking chairs to intricately carved boats. It is an experience!

You haven't read wrong - this amazing storefront in Thomaston features the gorgeous crafts (wood and textile) of the Maine State Prison inmates. The proceeds from the store go back to their jobs program. You will not find lovelier wood crafts, toys, and more! Seriously - go.
