Oberhalb con Carrara kann man sich die Marmorbrüche ansehen und auch geführte Besichtigungen machen. Von Carrara aus erreicht man auch Colonata, ein Bergdorf bekannt für seinen Speck.

In Carrara there are many museums featuring the world famous Carrara marble that Michelangelo used for his marble sculptures. The town is very beautiful. A list of museums are in the sightseeing section of this guidebook.

You'll never see anything like these mines. An amazing day trip with great places to eat in Carrara or head back to the coast for a cool dip and some seafood.
