My personal favorite restaurant. Bon Appetit says, "We probably have one of the best old-school Italian places, Mamma Zu. It's one of those places where you walk in, it's dimly lit, and the menu's on a chalkboard. Everything's flat-out amazing, and they take care down to the minute details of how they prepare the garlic." Opens at 5:30 pm. Go early or be prepared to wait...worth it.

Hands down best Italian food in the city, especially if you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine. It's small and dimly lit which makes it very cozy and romantic. Perfect for date night!
