You can purchase really cheap day tickets from the Bedford Tourist service at the Bedford BUS station. We enjoy taking the train from Bedford to Blackfriars London station and walking along the South Bank to ... where ever! A nice little explore London then perhaps SeaLife, the London Eye etc. We like to finishat Gabriel's Wharf for a meal at The Gourmet Pizza Co before heading home.

Food is OK, not expensive, not gourmet, a little rough around the edges but the location and the view from the south bank walkway and along is iconically London. Good for kids who want pizza.
