The best, most 'Scottish' pubs are around the Kelvingrove area; you'll find a nice mix of locals and tourists, an extraordinary whisky range and quite often live music! On Argyle Street there is The Ben Nevis, The Park Bar and the Islay Inn. They are all in the area that the Highlanders would stay when they came down to the big city. All three have free live music on Thursday to Sunday. The Islay will be more rock, the Ben Nevis more traditional and the Park Bar the most lively.

A fun and down to earth classic Glasgow pub with decent "pub grub" and a really friendly atmosphere. There's always something fun happening here from stand-up comedy, pub quizzes to karaoke and a weekly drag show!
