Sample some local hard cider and whiskey in this beautifully created tasting room. The outside of the building is pretty plain, but the inside is pretty cool! Play pool, darts, shuffleboard. There is usually music on the weekends. Light fare / snacks are available, but this is not (as of 2022) a sit-down dinner spot.

Visit their tasting room to enjoy the full Swilled Dog experience. Located in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. We visited recently with friends from DC. Cidar, beer, whiskey, small food menu or you are welcome to bring your own snacks. 28 Pendleton County Industrial Park Rd Upper Tract, WV 26866 (45 min drive). The distillery is located in a big metal building. Drive around back for the entrance. The inside is well done, comfortable and fun, with various seating options (from couch to high tops tables to picnic table to bellying up to the bar). #woman-owned. Their tasting room is now open not only on weekends but also throughout the week during the summer. That's right – starting Tuesday, June 13th you can stop by for tastings of hard cider and whiskey and bourbons from Tuesday to Saturday. HOURS Tuesdays - Thursdays 11am-5pm Fridays 2 - 8pm Saturdays 12 - 8pm Fridays, 2 - 9pm Saturdays, 12 - 9pm

Swilled Dog originated a few years ago right here in Franklin. The tasting room opened in spring 2019. The indoor space is warehouse-like, and casual and comfortable, with darts, pool table and a bar and tables. In addition to a wide variety of hard ciders, they also sell craft beers and light snacks. Just follow Rte. 220 north from Franklin for 6-7 miles and you’ll see a sign on the left at a big, blue warehouse. Open weekends til 8 or so.
