The jewel of Coeur D'Alene. Huge lake that boasts great views and excellent water sports. There are many hiking opportunities around the lake as well as sightseeing.

The City of Coeur D'Alene is about an hour's drive from The Coop. Downtown is small and quaint with some fun shops and eateries there. The lake is beautiful and you can take a boat cruise tour. www.cdacruises.com/daily-cruises

If you want a looong walk you can go past the city beach and continue on the trail along the river all the way to Riverstone park and back! This is my favorite jog with the dogs at night even in winter! The fort grounds neighborhood, north Idaho college campus , going under the highway bridge, the new development along the SPOKANE river are some of the highlights along the way. The sewage treatment plant is a little stinky part along the way but definitely doesn’t put too much of a damper on the fun! The trail is smooth asphalt.
