U8 connects Kreuzberg with the very nord of the city... One of the main metro lines. You can walk or take the bus in front of PENNY markt Soldinerstrasse/Prinzenallee (2 stations). Take U8 in direction 'Hermannstrasse' and take 3/4 stations to Rosenthaler Platz or Weinmeisterstrasse and you are in the hip center of Berlin Mitte.
