Open 6 days a week, this market has a great variety of clothing, produce and food. Try kibbeling, poffertjes, loempias, fresh fries, cheese, and more!
Typical Dutch market with lot's of fresh vegetables, fruits, fish and meat. Very lively with lot's people and gives a great insight into Dutch culture.
The Dapper market is very well known, big and the oldest Amsterdam market. Good for shopping clothes flowers and food, and located Amsterdam East with amazing food close by on the Javastraat, and the Tropical museum (tram 19 from the “Admiraal de Ruijterweg" tram stop).

“The central park of Amsterdam east. Amsterdammers come here to picnic, relax or workout. Two other parks in the area that are certainly worth a visit: the Flevopark (check also our tip Distilleerderij ’t Nieuwe Diep) and the somewhat smaller, quieter Frankendael park. ”

“The Tropenmuseum is one of the Netherlands’ largest museums for anthropology and ethnography, located in the east of Amsterdam. It is renowned for its beautiful architecture and its spectacular collection of works of art, music, film and photography from all over the world. The Tropenmuseum is also famous for its fascinating temporary exhibitions covering a variety of historic and modern topics. Don’t miss an opportunity to visit this iconic museum and make your reservations right now!”

“One of the most popular bars of Amsterdam East, located opposite of the Oosterpark. It's always busy here. Sit down on the wooden benches and before you know it you will be chatting a whole evening with a group of pleasant strangers. Regarding the menu: you do come here for the specialty beer and the fried chicken.”

“It’s my favourite spot to catch the sun and have a coffee with apple pie. But they also have great food and you can watch a movie. The funny side of this place, all workers earn the same from managers to waiters. For me it’s heaven to grab a coffee in the morning sun and watch people and daily life.”

“Our windmill tap room is located in the same former bathhouse that also houses our first brewery, right under Amsterdam’s biggest windmill. It opens at 2pm and closes at 8pm every day of the year, including holidays. The majority of beers that we brew are available on tap in this tap room. It’s self-service only so order your drink at the bar and find yourself a suitable spot. In summer there’s also long tables outside on our terrace, and in winter you’ll find shelter between the old bathhouse walls. Of course this place is mainly about the beer but for those who don’t appreciate that beautiful style of drink there are a few wine, juice and soda options. Food wise we offer a basic menu of tasty beer snacks. We selected a few cheeses, sausages and other bites we think go down very well with our beer. It’s self-service here again. You’ll find all the options on the menu at the kitchen. There is no table reservation, so come early or make friends and squeeze in. We don’t host stag parties in our tap room. Opening hours: 14:00 hrs and closes at 20:00 hrs every day of the year, including holidays.”
