It's a park that surrounds a lake. The inner trail is ~3 miles of flat walking, riding or blading. Expect to see a lot of dogs, kids, Frisbees, grandparents, + people from all over the world. There is a year round public swimming pool - Medger Evers Pool - and a couple beaches with life guards at designated swimming areas in the summer. The south end borders on Woodland Park where the zoo is located. There is an active rowing club on the south end of the lake as well. In short, this is where the locals go. Every day. Rain or shine. You might even spot Dave Matthews at Green Lake.

Gorgeous park with a huge lake to walk around. Easy to spend hours here on a nice day, walking around and people-watching.
