An old sawmill that has been renovated into a modern deli-café. It offers delicious bistro-type meals and breakfasts, next to a bubbling river. Stop here on your way to Wastwater and Scafell.

The Sawmill is situated at the opposite end of the lake to us and is about a 10-15 minute drive. Great place to go for lunch or stop in for coffee and a cake.

My favourite place to call in after a fantastic walk in the Wasdale valley. Great coffee and home made local food. Also a small food court . Sitting on the river side where you can watch the river from an outside balcony. Also dog friendly .
