Whilst you might have driven through Benissa on your way to Parcent, there is more to it than the main road with the array of supermarkets, including the Overseas Store for all those UK goodies. The old part of Benissa around the church towards the centre is typical Spanish architecture and has a great play park, some great cafes and an ice cream parlour that is worth the trip alone! Benissa also stretched down to the coast, with some great views of the Mediterranean.

A very typically Spanish old town with lovely little streets to wander around. Saturday morning is Market morning with an array of stalls for fresh fruit and vegetables near to the Church in the centre of the old town. The locals are all very friendly and the bars always give a warm welcome.
