The best way to travel efficiently around Dublin is by LUAS. I would recommend purchasing a leap card (these are public transport cards).

Local LUAS Green Line - takes you straight into Stephens Green in 10 minutes. As you approach the station stay on the left platform for Dublin City or cross the tracks if you want to go to Dundrum.
