METRO NORTH Last stop north of NYC on the Harlem Line . Wassaic Station in Amenia NY is approximately 1 hour15 mins from Pittsfield by car. Hudson NY is the northern terminus of a different line, I believe the HUDSON line. Cheap, clean, good wifi. the ride from grand central to wassaic is 2 hours.

metro north is much cheaper than Amtrak, but the station is further from Copake Lake than Hudson (Amtrak). But if you have guests coming and don't mind a 40 minute drive on beautiful Route 22, then this is your station!

You can cheaply go upstate by Metro North. Wassaic Station is about 45 min away from the Cabin

This is the Metro North stop closest to here. It is about 40 minutes away and a $75 cab ride. A car is preferable to stay in the area.
