A 10 minute drive from my space or alternatively go by steam train from Williton Station and it’s a couple of stops and a short walk from the train. The 800 year old Cistercian Cleeve abbey is one the finest in the country. It is set in a beautiful valley with a babbling stream and just up the road from our favourite local pub, The White Horse.
Guests have enjoyed visiting this wonderful Abbey and say its a really is a joy. It is only a 10 minute drive from Arden Cottage and the The White Horse pub is close by for lunch afterwards.

Zoo
“Watchet’s very own zoo! Don’t be put off by its fading elegance and the slightly shabby facade. A very unusual spot. Tropiquaria Zoo is one of the most unique zoos or wildlife parks in the country. The former "Art Deco" BBC radio transmitter station originally built in 1933, now houses the Tropical Hall, Nocturnal House and Aquarium. Outside there’s 4 acres of animal enclosures, along with two life sized pirate ships, and an adventure castle. A great place to take the kids on a wet or sunny day. We hear tell the animals come first and are very well cared for. A unique place, great fun and deserves support. ”
