Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is a 140,000 acres U.S. National Wildlife Refuge on the Atlantic coast of Florida's largest barrier island.
Great spot to view gators and shorebirds. Both driving and hiking tours/ trails available.
A great place to see Florida's wildlife. Filled with different bird species and of course a lot of gators!
If you came to see Florida nature, you can't get better than the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Go to the Manatee Viewing Deck at Haulover Canal to see our friendly manatees. There are also many dolphins there. Or take a BK Adventure tour on the Wildlife Refuge to get up close and personal with them! There are also many amazing shore birds. In February, bird enthusiasts flock to the area to get a glimpse of rare migratory birds.
