This is a new spot, called “Our Hot Tubs”. Here you can find a great track to ride through in the Waipa mountain biking tracks which is also the back entrance way into the Whakarewarewa Redwoods. Maybe after your bike ride you could enjoy a hot spa, there is a great little cafe where you can enjoy a bite to eat, or hot and cold beverages and relax. This is approximately 3-4kms from your stay. Heading South toward Taupo.

Try “Shinny Dip” foot hot tubs FREE with any drinks purchase or indulge in drinks, bakery food, Manuka coffee and lovely tea. Located at the Waipa side of the Redwood Forest on Waipa State Mill Road.

This is easily our most frequented cafe. We visit sometimes after or during one of our many rides through the redwoods. Buy a drink or snacks at the cafe and you get free use of the shinny dips and they are amazing! You could always take your togs and pay for a hot tub too. Set amongst native bush it really is a beautiful setting for relaxation. The coffee is good too and the caramel slice is devine. Other great food/meal options onsite too. Situated at the main mtb hub.
