For all of you who wish to celebrate a mass, enjoy a few moments of quiet contemplation in the shade of old pine trees, this is the place to go! Early mornings are most beautiful! This shrine is reminiscent of Lourdes and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Pilgrims flock there throughout the year especially on 15 August and 7 September.

The main western gate of Makarska, a small town under the Biokovo mountain, used to be the "Grand Gate".
