There are Caribbean vibes inside, with the pirate theme and bright colours. No need to book, just queue outside from 5:30pm, definitely worth the wait. “Approximately 30-40 minute walk from the cottage- (all down hill!) on footpaths. It is a really stunning walk with sea views and ends up at South Sands beach where there is a hotel which has a very good restaurant and even better cocktails! To avoid the walk back (uphill!) then are lots of paw-friendly taxis. From South Sands beach, you can get the little tractor-ferry over to Salcombe. It is such good fun. You don’t need to pre-book you just turn up and pay on the boat. It’s about a 30 minute ride to Salcombe and they run every half an hour. (They are closed during the winter so I’m not entirely sure if they will be up and running again yet). ”
