Suncadia is an idyllic spot where people come to to get a dose of sunshine in the winter, and it's a beautiful escape. What stands out is their many resort level restaurants and the beautiful Swiftwater winery. Our favorite things to do: - Breakfast at Portals - the eggs benedict is to die for - Sit in the wingback chairs in the main lodge with a book and a hot chocolate from the cafe - Lunch at the Stovehouse. Try the deviled eggs for apps, the beet salad or the waygu burger with bacon jam. - Do a wine tasting at Swiftwater (the Syrah is my personal favorite, and they do a wonderful Thanksgiving pairing tasting and again at Christmas). They also offer cocktails and charcuterie as well as lunch and dinner fare. Sit by the fire out back for some fresh air. - Dinner at Portals - epic views and delicious food. Family friendly too! Our favorites are the baked french brie, panzanella salad and the bacon wrapped scallops.
