Das ist einer meiner Lieblingsorte. Das ehemalige Strandbad liegt etwas außerhalb östlich von Málaga. Früher gab es dort einen kleinen Hafen und 1918 wurde das öffentliche Strandbad eröffnet, wo nach Frauen und Männern getrennt gebadet werden konnte. 1920 kam ein Restaurant und eine Kinoleinwand dazu. Baños del Carmen entwickelte sich zu einem kleinen Zentrum für Kultur und Veranstaltungen, wo alles verkehrte, was in Málaga Rang und Namen hatte. Es gab Tennisplätze und ein Fußballfeld und es wurde ein imponierendes Eingangstor errichet. Für mich hat Baños del Carmen immer noch einen gewissen Charme. Man kann dort lecker essen oder bei einem netten Getränk Málaga aus der Distanz betrachten. Ab und zu winkt auch das kristallklare Meer mal über die Brüstungsmauer. Aber was erzähle ich noch lange, geh einfach selbst mal hin und genieße! Um dort hinzugelangen, kannst Du zu Fuß den Paseo Marítimo entlanggehen oder mit dem Rad hinfahren.

Very historic and romantic place close to Pedregalejo, one of the liveliest beaches in town. A little upscale but worth it for a tapa, a coffee or a cocktail. Between La Cala and Malaga Center.

Nice to watch the sunset on Malaga from here, there is outdoor dinning or you can just a have drink or two...

The Playa-Balneario Nuestra Señora del Carmen, popularly known as Baños del Carmen, is located on a stretch of seafront east of Malaga city, near the old fishermen's area of El Pedregalejo. It consists of a small beach, a wooded area, two tennis courts where Malaga's first tennis tournament was held, and a popular restaurant with seafront terrace in the attractive blue and white 1930s pavilion. Public events and private parties (wedding and birthdays) are often held there. Great for a sunset drink!

If you head a bit further East, you’ll get to the beach of Baños del Carmen. This is a relatively unspoilt and quiet beach, covered with coarse pebbles, gravel and boulders. From here you can catch a glimpse of the now dilapidated resort of Baños del Carmen
