State Beach about a mile and a half south. Good snorkeling. Facilities. Surf and stand up board lessons on north end.

Safe place to snorkel on the left and surf lessons on the right. You can rent kayaks from Kona boys also

Best Beach to Snorkel. This is my favorite snorkeling spot on the island. As soon as you step into the water you are surrounded by coral and amazing fish. Not a great beach for little kids or sunbathing but snorkeling is fantastic! There is a parking lot, volunteers to educate you about the coral and sea life, and picnic tables.
