Das Fort Fortaleza de Sagres, ein portugiesisches Nationaldenkmal von überragender Bedeutung, befindet sich südwestlich von Sagres auf einer ein Kilometer langen Klippe namens Ponta de Sagres. Die gesamte Anlage und die umliegende Landschaft stehen unter Naturschutz.

Die grosse Festung, sowie die ganze Küste in der nähe von Sagres ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Hier gibt es viele Plätze zu entdecken und man hat eine wahnsinns Aussicht. Vorsicht allerdings mit dem Wind, der kann nicht nur sehr kühl sondern auch unangenehm sein, wenn man nahe der klippen ist

Das Fort Fortaleza de Sagres, liegt in der naehe von Sagres auf einer ein Kilometer langen Klippe namens. Es zaehlt zu portugiesischen Nationaldenkmaeler und ist eine Reise wert... ES kann auch mal voll dort werden da es einer der Kultur Spots in der Region ist!

Sagres is located in the extreme southwest of continental Europe, and marked by two geomorphological structures: the Cape St. Vincent and Sagres Point, which establish a transition between the eastern coastal and meridional zones. Exposed to the Atlantic Ocean, it is influenced by Mediterranean currents, marked by promontories of high cliffs leading onto a platform that oscillates between 100–200 metres (330–660 ft) (in the north) and 50 metres (160 ft)) where you can see an amazing sunset at the end of the day

The landscape is a natural wonder and the walk around the whole fort is just so beautiful.
