This bungalow is one of the iconic buildings of yesteryears Kalimpong The bungalow is beautifully kept, restoring old bits and parts and modernizing them for daily comfort. We loved the simple decor, massive open garden and the food The chef and the manager in site are extremely courteous and helpful. We were a family of 7 and we were very well taken care of. Rita personally came and met us, and gave us a hand baked cake and muffins. The location is serene, quite and peaceful. The rooms are very well equipped and clean. And the staff is there throughout. For sure, one of our best ever stays

I stayed at this homestay for three nights, and it was a delightful experience. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking, and the hospitality of the people here is heartwarming. The food is a standout feature—organic and delicious. However, I did encounter a few minor issues. The common bathroom can be a bit inconvenient, and the charger jack is located quite low on the wall. It would be much more convenient if it were placed beside the bed for easier access. Additionally, there are extra charges for using the kitchen, which I believe should be clearly mentioned in the instructions provided to guests. Despite these small issues, everything else was great. I would highly recommend this homestay for its beautiful views, warm hospitality, and excellent food.

We had a 3 night stay at Sanjay's place and though it was pretty warm at Kalimpong, the house was cool, covered with greenery all around. If you like places which are away from the hustle and bustle, tucked within greenery, then this is the place to go. Food was homely and delicious. My 10 year old son was busy througout the stay playing in the adjoining areas in the property. We were travelling with old parents and my wife was recovering from a fractured foot so when we navigated through the flight of stairs to reach to our cottage, they did not seem happy. But all of that was gone the next days as they enjoyed all the walk they could get amidst the purity of nature. Sanjay and his staff are super responsive and always there with a smile. So in short, if you are looking at this property and reading my review, my suggestion would be to go ahead and book.

Beautiful and cozy stay. The place was very clean.Loved the drawing room,the large window provides a nice view and in clear days you can see Kanchenjungha too. There were quite a nice collection of books. The property has a few dogs which was certainly a plus point for me 🤗 Check-in and checkout process was hassle free. Kitchen was well equipped, complimentary coffee,tea,milk,noodles,chips were provided. I would highly recommend this place for a quiet and peaceful getaway.

I stayed with my family and it was exactly how I wanted it to be. The house is extremely well maintained and very clean with a fully functional kitchen. The balcony had stunning views. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and responsive. Loved the overall experience and would definitely go back to visit this place again 🥰

We had a magical stay at Manohar’s place. The renovation was a work of love and shows painstaking attention to historical detail. The little exhibition on the story of the house, from the end of the Raj to Manohar’s family, is also enchanting. Manohar and his team were great hosts, and everything went smoothly from our arrival after dark to our early-morning departure for the airport. Our host made us a lovely breakfast that we ate in the garden with a view of Kangchenjunga and gave us helpful tips for dinner. I’d definitely recommend a stay at this lovely house. We wish we could have spent more time enjoying it!

A beautiful and homely stay with many amenities such as a bonfire, a flowery seating area etc, it is conveniently located to view the mighty Kanchenjunga. Udai sir and his family were extremely hospitable and took care of all our needs. The best part of the stay were the adorable pet dogs, they were friendly and playful especially Coco with whom we spent hours playing fetch.

We loved the place. Host is very responsive. We felt like own home. overall wonderful experience.

I had a lovely stay at Dolly aunty's place. The loft is located bang in the middle of town but down a cul de sac, once you take the alley to the house, the traffic noise ceases and you enter a residential area that's quiet and peaceful. All local conveniences are located at walking distance. The apartment has a private terrace that overlooks Kalimpong town and the neighbouring mountainscapes. The bedroom is spacious, well ventilated with lots of windows and natural light. The kitchen unit is separate, next to the apartment, on the terrace. You can watch the clouds pass by the mountains as you cook/eat your meals. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials, which in my case made long stay possible. This is a comfortable, safe, gem of a place, especially if you're a solo female traveler looking for long term rental. Dolly aunty is very easy to communicate, relatable and considerate, she always checked on me if I was ok and if I needed anything. Will definately revisit again.
