The home is as described and I can’t say a single thing bad about our stay. The driveway is STEEEP as she says, do not underestimate her words 😂 it was not an issue though. The house is beautiful, clean, great location with the most perfect upper Michigan views. I’d come back and I would 100% recommend.

The Hawk’s Nest was the best stay! First off, the cabin was incredible! Thoughtfulness and attention to detail throughout the cabin. We stayed for just a quick weekend but wished we could have stayed longer and definitely plan to go back! Hosts provided a detailed list of all sorts of local recommendations. They also checked in and it was super clear that their goal was for us to be completely satisfied with our stay! We loved it!

My friends and I came for a ski mountain weekend, and we had the BEST time from the moment we walked through our Airbnb to the second we left. Elizabeth pretty much thought of everything that you could ever need for a worry free stay like super clean towels, linens, down to the cookware (literally anything you could think of, she had in the house). The lake is so beautiful, the blackout shades were super helpful after a long night out, and the shuttle service was awesome to get to the mountain in our gear or home from a late night at the lounge. Highly recommend staying here!

Place was exactly as described. Perfect location for our needs and the ability to bring our dogs was a huge plus. House was spacious and well kept. Would stay here again

This was our 2nd time staying at Chris’s place. It really IS perfect. We like to relax and spend time with family and friends in this space. The kitchen was stocked and we found it easy to Prepare meals. The appliances were up to date. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean.

This was a great place to go to reset and relax. The water was a serene experience and left us feeling awww’d Going to town wasn’t far to get needed supplies We look forward to visiting again!

It felt like the foundation was failing… floor was uneven.. bedroom door shut on it’s own…going in the bathroom felt like you were walking downhill…Drywall was put up without taping the seams or plastering over the nails…poor remodel work.

We loved staying at Lindsay’s property. Everything was very clean and nicely furnished. With 2 children this was a perfect location to ski in and ski out. The space is very small, it is a studio, not a 1-bedroom condo, there is a huge, comfy king bed and a very good pull out sofa bed, but they are pretty tightly packed into the space. The owners provided games and books which was a nice touch. The bedding and the towels were beautifully soft and clean. The kitchen cabinets are very high up, we needed a step stool to get to any pots, pans and cups. This was available, we didn’t make a big dea out of it, we made it work, and really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this stay and definitely come again.

Great condo - even brighter, cheerier, and roomier than pictured! Condo was clean, beds were comfortable, lots of linens and beach towels, games, well stocked kitchen.... and the view of the lake is fantastic! There were no neighbors when we were there so it was very quiet. Just minutes to Nub's Nob and the Highlands. Lots of choices for restaurants near by and good grocery store nearby. Host was ultra available and accommodating with lots of instructional / helpful signage throughout the condo, lots of extras!!! Thanks for a great stay! Looking forward to going back!!

As always, Shanty Creek did not disappoint! The view was spectacular, with full fall colors popping! We got to walk the Legend golf course several times, and the colors were amazing on that, too. This unit is cozy and absolutely perfect for a couple getting away for a few days. We would definitely return to this unit any time of year!

House was clean and spacious. Parking was great for car or small trailer, tight parking for trailers over 18ft in the winter. Mallard road is not fully plowed. Overall was great for my needs.

Becca’s cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. Very clean, well furnished and super cozy. The cabin is right on a beautiful lake, which was frozen, but still fun to see ice fishermen. The only issue we had when we first arrived is that we had to shovel our way up the stairs to get into the cabin. Thankfully, there was a shovel thoughtfully placed by the front door by the hosts. While we were there we had considerable amounts of snow (to be expected given the time of year!) and when we needed the driveway plowed, Becca was extremely responsive and had a plow over to the cabin within 15 minutes. My family and friends really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend! Thank you Becca for letting us stay in your lovely home!

I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! It was conveniently located. Rick was very responsive and had very clear instructions for us. It was also very clean and tidy!!! I would recommend this to others, and hope to be back sometime. Thank you Rick!!!

Can't say enough good things about our stay and hosts. The only thing that would prevent me from coming back is buying a place of my own in the same complex! Roger and Mary were proactive and responsive from pre-booking through our stay. I am a clean freak, to say the least, and found the condo in great shape. We took full advantage of the kitchen and every utensil, plate, and cookware I took out was perfectly clean. We had two families stay - 4 adults and 4 kids - and everyone was comfortable with plenty of space. Roger and Mary saw we were bringing real little ones, and left out pristinely clean crib and pack & play, sheets included. We stayed during winter, and enjoyed all that was nearby! Nubs Nob just 10 minutes drive. We got to XC Ski right out the condo door into the neighboring nature preserve trails and along Lake Michigan. The condo complex indoor pool was great afternoon entertainment. Everything matched the description, so it was easy to plan. Thank you!

Me and my siblings stayed her for my sisters wedding. The host was super responsive when we had questions during our stay. The place was clean and a good deal compared to the hotels in the area. I feel like it had good amenities. It is walking distance to the Earl and so close to castle farms. It was very clean and cozy. We loved sitting in the bay windows. It was perfect for our stay and if we’re back in the area again I would stay here again.

Our recent stay at Kari's cottage on Lake Michigan was so peaceful and rejuvenating that it felt like a lot longer than two days. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the cottage offered breathtaking views of the lake, especially during sunset. The tranquil surroundings provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The cottage itself was cozy and well-equipped, with rustic decor that added to its charm. Kari was incredibly welcoming and ensured that every need was met, making the stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with local small town exploration nearby, this cottage on Lake Michigan is the ideal destination. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a rejuvenating experience in nature.

The lake house was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked. Lots of blankets and pillows. The lake was beautiful and the kayaks were really nice to have. Would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely home in an amazing location. The access to Silver Lake with paddle boards and kayaks readily available was amazing!

This was an outstanding cottage for a winter getaway for our family! It was a great location close to multiple ski resorts and downtown Gaylord. We enjoyed getting to ski, tube, horseback ride, and play in the snow outside of the cottage. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and everything was clean and cozy! It was perfect for what we were looking for. Dawn was an excellent communicator and didn’t hesitate to give us recommendations in the area and check in to make sure all is well. When we got snow overnight, there was even someone to shuffle and plow immediately in the morning. We would absolutely come back!

We have been visiting this area for 30+years and this is now one of our favorite places to stay. So much to see and do, no reason to leave the area (except to get groceries, unfortunately there is no longer a store in town, but there is a gas station). Sunsets are outstanding!!

We loved the 2 levels that gave us quiet space for a napping baby and adults trying to work remotely vs shared space for family conversation and noise upstairs. And a beautiful porch for a little added privacy.

Great vacation getaway! This property is very well cared for and was comfortable inconvenient for my family. Beautiful setting also
