Absolute gem of a place peaceful farm environment with everything you need for a couple of nights ...We are definitely making this home away from home

We had a magical Easter weekend at this peaceful, well-functioning farmstay. The cozy, well-equipped cottage made us feel instantly at home. Tracy, our host, was incredibly proactive, accommodating, and welcoming — regularly checking in to ensure we were comfortable. When our car got stuck in the mud after heavy rains, farmhands Winnie and Rico were absolutely outstanding — warm, capable, and went above and beyond to assist us. It was heartwarming to experience such genuine hospitality. The kids had a safe and joyful time exploring the farm, and we all enjoyed rowing in the dam, playing tennis, and biking through the trails. Waking up to Nguni cows and horses in the sunrise was restorative. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great place to visit with a busy toddler. Our daughter loved wandering around the grounds and seeing the cows, plus they brought her some toys to play with - what a spoil. We would love to be back.

Visiting from the UK, Angela the host gave clear directions & gate entry info. On arrival we were greeted with a thatch roof rondawel in the most serene & private surroundings. Felt so tranquil & peaceful looking out over her beautiful garden. The rondawel has a lovely rustic feel & was spotless with the little touches of tea, coffee, sugar & milk plus some delicious biscuits & a dram of Sherry! There’s a fire pit to enjoy looking up at the vast African sky & a swimming pool to enjoy by day. Vervet monkeys were busy foraging & little duikers came to visit. We stayed here 4 times during our visit we enjoyed it so much. Angela gave us tips on places to visit & eat & was so friendly during our stays. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay! The setting is incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views of the river and mountains. Whether we were relaxing on the day bed or simply soaking in the natural beauty, every moment felt special. Our children had an amazing time making the fire for the hot tub, chopping wood, and swimming in the river—it was the perfect outdoor adventure for them! The tented camp itself is beautifully designed inside and out, blending comfort with nature effortlessly. This was truly a magical escape, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended.

The Thatched Cottage at Beverley Country Cottages exceeded our expectations. The view was even better than the pictures, and the cottage was comfortable and well appointed. Kate and Ruth and team were friendly hosts, and very responsive in addressing any issues with the house. We liked the peace and quiet of the farm, but appreciated that it was close enough to Howick and the rest of the Midlands. Our kids also had great fun with Kate's dogs, who adopted us while we were there. Would definitely recommend!

We stopped over in Howick for one night. It had everything we needed. The garden is absolutely stunning and peaceful, I managed to do yoga on porch it was so refreshing. Don't let Google images of the house fool you as that picture is very old. The entire property is stunning. The host Emily was very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderfull 2 days stay in the home of Sian. Everything was very clean. Sian was very helpful and we could always communicate with her. For sure we are coming back.

Absolutely enchanting! This hidden gem felt like a true retreat from the world. The surroundings were serene, and the accommodation was cozy and magical. Perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful escape. Sduduzo was absolutely amazing – he went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. His warm and welcoming hospitality made us feel right at home. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
