Everything went smoothly and the flat was clean, spacious, and quiet. The amenities, like washer and dryer, were wonderful. While the location was slightly off the common "tourist path," we actually appreciated that and it was an easy bus ride or Uber back to the flat each night. We also enjoyed the local pub and the food choices nearby. My only issue was the lack of communication about the 3 flights of stairs/no lift. This fact is mentioned in other reviews (as I see now), but not in the description of the property nor in the initial instructions for accessing the flat. The stairs themselves are not Ben's fault and as I learned on my 14-day journey through Ireland and the UK, accessibility is not a priority in these old cities. That's fine. But the lesson for me I guess is to read reviews a little more closely, as that's the only place the stairs are mentioned. I have bad knees so trekking up the stairs each night after a long day was, quite simply, torture. But still a great stay.

Die Wohnung besticht durch die Lage. In 1 Minute ist man mitten in der Altstadt. Es ist Alles vorhanden und der Support bei Fragen war unglaublich. Jederzeit wieder Tim und ganz liebe Grüße an Michelle! Lutz

Nous avons passé un super séjour à Édimbourg et l’appartement y a contribué. Très bonne communication avant notre arrivée. L’appartement est simple à trouver et accessible de façon autonome grâce a une boîte à clé. C’est un quartier calme et avec une belle vue sur le Arthur seat. Tout était propre et il y avait même quelques vivres (riz, céréales) laissés sans doute par les anciens hôtes. Je recommande !

What a gorgeous apartment and wonderful host! First timers to Edinburgh, rest assured. This place is easy to find, about a twenty minute walk from waverley station and fifteen to anywhere else! The castle, shops, restaurants , walking tours etc.. Canongate is the tail end of the Royal Mile which starts at the castle, slopes down and becomes the High Street, then becomes Canongate. So it’s all the same road. Richard is an excellent communicator and will meet you. The apartment itself is lovely with stunning views! This was my second stay and it was as delightful as the first. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay in Yvonne’s property. The flat was pristine, very spacious and the guidebooks and treats really made the difference. My mother and I would definitely return should we need accommodation in Newcastle again - thank you!

Die Unterkunft von Jay war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Es gibt gute Restaurants in der Nähe, man erreicht das Zentrum zu Fuss und ganz in der Nähe befindet sich der Arthur’s Seat. Der Aufstieg ist sehr zu empfehlen, man wird mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf die Stadt und die Gegend belohnt! Jay war sehr zuvorkommend, hat immer sofort geantwortet. Unser Aufenthalt war perfekt.

Giovanna's place was perfect, clean and in the best location for a city break to Edinburgh! We had the best time and Giovanna did everything to make our stay enjoyable and easy! She was so communicative and eager to help! Many thanks for everything!

The house was spotless with plenty of room downstairs for us. The main bedroom was large and lovely with an ensuite shower/ toilet. The other 2 bedrooms were smaller but perfect for our needs. All beds were very comfy. The kitchen/diner was VERY well stocked with everything thing we could have needed. Lovely welcome basket with fresh bread and milk with some goodies too and a fresh bag of coffee. Lots of little thoughtful extras, like books, games, doggy items, beach towels and a fab record player! We loved sitting in the garden in the morning and evening. Hardly noticed there were neighbours as it was very peaceful despite being a residential area. We loved our stay and if back in the area would definitely stay again. Thanks to our friendly host, Gary.

Mel was a very helpful and friendly host. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a quiet and peaceful break. Particularly good for the dog with the garden being fully enclosed and free to roam.

I stayed at this wonderful property for a few days right after getting married, kicking off my honeymoon while also showing my new in-laws some of the best parts of the UK. The entire family had a great time here—it’s clean, very spacious, and truly felt like home. We did run into a minor issue with a bathroom leak (a bit of bad luck on my part, I suppose), but the host was incredibly responsive and did everything they could to resolve it quickly. I really appreciate how it was handled and am grateful for the prompt attention. Overall, I highly recommend this lovely property. If I’m ever in Edinburgh again with family or friends, I’d definitely check if this place is available before considering other options in the Old Town area. Ideal hub for myself and kids. Very comfortable, excellent kitchen and fast broadband. Would have preferred a better parking spot as I have a large car and needed to mount full kerb to access parking. I didn’t fancy parking on street as it was adjacent to small junction. Just something to note. Aside from that, very happy. Thank you very much

We all had an amazing time ! Plenty space for our family of 11 and 3 dogs.

Il y a un bus à proximité de la maison pour visiter Edimbourg. La maison est super et il y a tout ce qu’il faut. Très propre et sympa ! Merci Jamie

We enjoyed our stay in this property, it was decorated to a high standard and had a good amount of space for our needs. It had almost all the facilities we needed to celebrate Christmas (we needed to buy a few more trays for the oven but that was about it). One thing to be aware of that we missed when booking is that the bathroom is downstairs at the back of the house, behind the kitchen, which was a bit of a surprise as we didn't remember seeing that noted before booking, however didn't cause us too many issues during the visit. The only other thing to note is there were a few minor maintenance issues (missing/dead light bulbs for example) that should be fixed, however again this didn't cause any problems during the stay, just something that could be improved to fully bring out the potential of the space.

Seldom is where we stay one of the highlights of our trip, but this townhouse definitely was. It was absolutely amazing. It was warm and comfortable after coming in from our chilly all day excursions. The beds were comfortable, the house extremely clean and the amenities absolute perfection.

Great comms from the host. Its worth noting that the property has many stairs, should that pose an issue for your booking. That being said, the property and the surroundings were superb We will return next year

Fantastic dwelling, great location and excellent hosts. We will definitely look to return to Edinburgh in the future and seek this residence as well as highly recommending it to our friends and family. Our hosts Mark and Dayna were wonderful especially with their wonderful gesture of allowing us to stay an extra night, free of charge, due to The Hogmanay Festival being cancelled. Thank you again. Nevertheless a wonderful visit to Edinburgh underpinned by an excellent apartment and generous hosts.

We have had the best time. The apartment has got the wow factor and it is so homely, it was spotless and the bed is so comfortable. Barry provided us with all the information we needed, and we had no problem with parking. Overnight we parked in the long stay car park by Morrisons, only 5 minutes walk away. We will definitely be going back.

lush place, thoroughly enjoy the stay at Alnwick. location was fantastic as easy to walk into town for shops and attractions. The apartment was well laid out with all that was expected with an excellent holiday let and very easy parking. Neighbour underneath the flat was very friendly, would highly recommend the apartment to anyone staying here.

Gintare's place was very clean and comfortable. The location was great for taking the tram all over the city. The local restaurants and bars were great.

L’arrivée sera encore plus agréable dès que les travaux de rénovation de la cage d’escalier (travaux qui sont en cours) seront terminés ! Really amazing and extremely beautiful flat. It is impeccably decorated and feels like you’re travelling back in time to an Enlightenment-era salon. The living room and bedrooms are like a manoresque time capsule whereas the bathroom and kitchen are modern and fully decked out. Barely wanted to leave the flat! One of the best airbnb experiences ever!

Brilliant location with great links to public transport, shops near by and Laura gave great instructions and the amenities and apartment were more than adequate for our stay! Highly recommend
