It was a very wonderful holiday and the host was a very friendly and elegant person and the place was very elegant and clean and I loved the services provided there such as the wood stove and the handmade twilight and the quiet place and we loved Harry the dog All services were available and the thing I liked most about the whole vacation was that everything there was handmade. Thank you and your wonderful hospitality.

We had a really lovely stay at Carol’s shepherd’s hut. It was cosy and in such an idyllic location where we were able to fully wind down and relax for our stay. The added touches made a difference and Carol was proactive in her communication which was lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

A great place to stay as we were visiting the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells. The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

We loved our stay on the shepherds hut, which looked and felt new, and was beautifully finished. Fantastic location, great for local walks (we walked to The Open Ditch pub) and amazing views from the bed & seating area. Very accommodating hosts, super helpful and responsive. Lovely place to spend a few days in peace in quiet. The hot tub was amazing and the hosts are very friendly. The hut is in close proximity to the Wye Valley, which is a great place to explore.

Beautiful, clean, modern shepherd’s hut with STUNNING views. Quiet and secluded, perfect if you’re looking for a break away from the norm. Fire pit with wood provided - we spent most of our evening sat by the open fire, chatting and taking in the scenery. It was the most relaxed I’ve felt in a long time. Board games provided too as well as some nice fresh bread, which was a lovely touch. We would love to stay again. :)

Lovely stay, our children loved it and everything was very well described in the advert. Directions were great and we found it easily. Only thing that would make it even better would be not having to bring our own bedding but this did not put us off and we had the most amazing stay. Thank you Sian. Would recommend to everyone.

WOW- I can’t recommend this listing any more highly. Lou went above and beyond to make our stay special. The drive through her garden/farm to get to the accommodation felt magical, before witnessing the stunning Shepard’s hut. If you’re looking for a cute countryside retreat, this is the one for you. It was so peaceful having a few drinks in the fairly light lit hot tub, before crashing on the large king sized bed. 15 minute drive to cheddar gorge, and only 5 minutes to local pub (or 20 min walk). Lou was super responsive the whole trip and did whatever she could to make our stay feel special. We will definitely be returning next year (potentially with friends as she has another studio with space for 2 more people on a separate listing). Thanks so much :)

We had a great stay. Claire is a great host and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay. The accommodation and hot tub were great, and the surrounding area is full of walks and great views. We particularly loved hearing about the farm and getting to meet the animals. A really unique getaway and would recommend to anyone.

The Bobbin was super clean, owners had thought of everything you could wish for. The views were absolutely stunning. Was looking for a peaceful space and was exactly that. We will definitely be back. Would 1000% recommend

we had a amazing 2 night stay at Sally's shepards hut over the bankholiday. Sally is a great host and gave lots of good information on the surrounding areas for activities to do. The garden and hut were kept great and overall it was a really pleasant stay. 5 stars 🌟

A great place to stay if you want a peaceful restful stay. Hot tub is lush once you get it up to temp. Bring flip flops or crocs to get from the hot tub back to the accommodation as the garden is either stones or bark chips.

Wonderful stay! The cabin was lovely, the location was idyllic & within easy reach of other local attractions by car. Nick was a wonderful host (very friendly, helpful & informative), & also kindly allowed me trickle-charge my EV overnight (3-pin socket) to aid our day-trips while staying. Dog & humans had a great time all-round, & will I’m sure return in the future! Thanks again Nick - all the best! 🍻🙂

A tranquil location with beautiful sunsets in a meadow. Feels away from it all but close enough to all the activities of the Forest of Dean. Cosy cabin with everything you need.

Absolutely perfect couple of nights away for our Anniversary 😊 Gavin was super friendly, approachable and welcoming. The hut was spot on for us and our pooch. We particularly loved the outdoor space and made good use of the hot tub and sauna. Would 100% recommend 😁

A fantastic little break away! :) Check in was super simple and everything was clean, hot tub was ready to go and everything looked like the pictures! Was easy to get a bbq ( we called) and it came within 10 mins. Was lovely having a bbq whilst enjoying the views. The views are stunning and there’s a wonderful green full of activities for children. There’s also the communal area which was clean, had everything you’d need and well maintained. Great space and was really impressed Check out was super easy and we had such an amazing time. Will be returning for sure :)

Just home from a most perfect relaxing break in the MOST beautiful surroundings. It’s our second visit and we can’t wait to book a third. Sunsets, sun rises , fabulous views, star gazing, lots of wildlife and birdsong . Once parked we walked through a beautiful wood full of bluebells and other wild flowers . The hut was cosy with a great wood burning stove and a comfortable bed. The hammock and swing seats were so relaxing and the hot tub was perfect! Nearby Monmouth is always worth a visit with lots of independent shops and bars , restaurants. Thank you again .

Wow...just WOW! This place is a little slice of heaven. Amazing location. So peaceful. The hut had everything you needed. Super comfy and cozy. Sian and Jack are just the best hosts. They gave us everything we needed to make out stay ideal. Friendly, welcoming and informative re all the bits and bobs in the local area. Make sure you do the Bryn Arw and Sugar Loaf circular and stop at the Crown for a well earned pint or too.

A fantastic little escape — serene, peaceful, and offering a stunning panoramic view. It is wonderfully remote and secluded, yet ideally located for local hikes and exploring the Brecon Beacons. The lovely little carriage is beautiful and cosy, perfectly fitting the whole 'closer to nature' experience. Graham is an excellent host: friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The freshly baked loaf was such a nice touch as well. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay!
