Wharf House is situated on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal, overlooked by The Blorenge in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. It is an ideal location to relax or we have footpath and cycling networks on our doorstep and an abundance of places to explore nearby. We are a 40 min walk/short drive away from the well loved market town of Abergavenny, affectionately known as the Gateway to Wales, which offers an array of independent shops, restaurants and cafes. The Old Coach House at Tintern, the Wye Valley
The old coach House is a few minutes walk from the centre of Tintern on the banks of the river Wye, where you'll find the famous abbey, as well as places to eat and drink, and shops selling local crafts. The Wye Valley Walk passes the house, and the hourly bus between Chepstow and Monmouth stops just metres away. Staying at the historic Old Coach House in Tintern, you'll experience the unique charm of an early 1800s Welsh cottage, while enjoying modern comforts in a stylish and homely setting.

Welcome to my home. A 19th century miner's cottage on the river cutting through the base of the valley, where nature meets history in a hidden corner of Wales. It is now an artist’s house- renovated and eclectically styled for a comfortable stay- you are invited to rest and listen to the river, before exploring the stories and histories on your green and pleasant doorstep. Nature reserves, pubs and shops are walkable, Brecon Beacons, Newport, Cardiff and Abergavenny drivable. Welcome home.

A beautiful space in picturesque surroundings.
The property is located approximately half a mile (about a 10 minute walk) from Twyn Square in the centre of Usk town, which has many pubs shops and eateries. The bungalow has a fully equipped kitchen and there are 2 good sized bedrooms overlooking the front garden. There are many breathtakingly beautiful walks on the doorstep. Access is along a single track lane leading to a private parking area for 1-2 cars. Strictly no parking on the lane please, because it is a public right of way.

Pubs and shops in close proximity, 2 TVs (one smart), unloading area and free public parking.

Dry Dock Cottage
Relaxing is easy in Dry Dock Cottage: there’s a cinema snug, roll-top bath and king-size bed. The high-tech gadgetry means that, at the touch of a screen, you can control the heating, close the blinds, dim the lights and play your favourite music. With spectacular views from all four levels, this open-plan former dry dock sits at the very water’s edge. Open the bi-fold glass doors from the lounge area, to get even closer to the ducks and the boats that pass by. Pets are welcome, too.

Open the front door and you will be greeted by a fantastic view of the beautiful working canal, with stunning barge boats passing daily. The long stretch of canal offers fantastic walking and cycling trails to see the beautiful views that South Wales has to offer. Our beautiful cottage has a double bedroom and twin room which sleeps 4 comfortably. Free on road parking at the property.

Tresseck Barn is on the banks of Wrigglebrook stream in a magical and secluded valley. Just 5 minutes walk from the local pub, and footpaths alongside the famous River Wye, this historic barn is perfectly placed for exploring the wider Wye Valley area. Finished to a high standard with oak doors, exposed beams, central heating and feature oak central staircase with galleried landing, Tresseck Barn is ideal for 2 families with (or without!) children to meet to relax and unwind.

The Elms, Monmouth
A 2 bedroom self contained annex, 1 of 2 lets available, both are attached to a Grade II Listed Regency Georgian Villa. With 2 spacious bedrooms and a bathroom with large shower, The Elms is suitable for up to 4 guests, however the open plan sitting room/diner is a cosy space for four adults sharing. Its a 15 minute flat walk to Monmouth town centre. Ideally located for exploring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Brecon Beacons and beyond. Bed linen and towels are provided.

2 bedroom riverside cottage (for up to 4 people)
Be prepared for instant relaxation in this peaceful rural spot at an historic watermill on the banks of the River Monnow, the only sounds are those of the river and the local wildlife. Take a glass of wine or BBQ down to the river in the early evening and be sure to see the kingfisher flying down the river and trout jumping. Walkers can join the riverside Swan walk, which runs through the Ruthlin grounds and woods and fishing can be arranged on request.

Caithness is a beautiful, spacious and comfortable 6 bedroomed holiday home - perfect for large families - situated on the banks of the Monmouthshire Brecon Canal. It is a home from home, run by a small family business. Originally built in 1959, it has recently been extended and renovated into a contemporary holiday home which sleeps up to 10. It boasts beautiful views and is the perfect destination to enjoy a relaxing escape to the Welsh countryside.
