We felt completely at home at Akshaya's place in Ooty! From the moment we arrived, Akshaya's parents made us feel incredibly welcome. They were friendly, easy to communicate with, and attended to our needs with a truly professional and caring touch. I wholeheartedly recommend Akshaya's home to individuals or families seeking a peaceful and comfortable stay in Ooty.

The villa is located in a quaint village of Aravenu. It has beautiful surroundings. The host Subhash has planned this villa excellently to make guests comfortable and enjoy the stay. It is about 5 km from town of Kotagiri on a scenic route. The villa is in gated community with 24/7 security, so safety is not a concern. The big lawn and a gazebo provides ample space to enjoy outdoor activities in lush green surrounding. We will definitely love to return to this place for a longer stay.

we had a very good experience during the stay. Aman is a very responsive and proactive host. He helped with recommendations for places to visit as well. The place is a bit further from city which contributed to the peaceful stay during the visit away from the hustle and bustle...the helper( Alam) in the house was also very resourceful. He went over and beyond to make our stay comfortable

The stay and the experience was beyond expectations. It is very close the town, yet secluded with breathtaking views of the Ooty town, and the surrounding mountains and a tranquil atmosphere. Surya was very responsive and guided us on all queries making sure of our safety and comfort. He greeted us on arrival and made us feel right at home. Arul the caretaker, was very helpful and proactively took care of all the needs, with a warm smile. Overall this place is a hidden gem, 100% recommended.

We had a wonderful stay though it was for just one day. It’s a beautiful place with breathtaking view of ooty especially the night view. There is everything you need for a peaceful stay at a home away from home 😊.

We stayed in Cabin 6 and had a peaceful, refreshing experience. While there are several cabins on the property—most of them along a cement pathway—Cabin 6 is set slightly apart and surrounded by trees, giving it a calm and secluded vibe. Two other cabins are nearby, but they didn’t affect our sense of privacy or the natural feel of the place. There’s a beautiful waterfall within walking distance, though getting there involves walking through a muddy, rocky stream. Rocks can be slippery, especially if it’s raining, so sturdy footwear is recommended. There’s also a meditation rock area nearby—not a single flat rock, but a group of natural rocks where you can sit or lie down and enjoy the peaceful sounds of wind and birds. The food, prepared by Baby akka and her team, was a highlight. Every meal was homely and delicious, with the egg curry being our favorite. If you’re looking for a quiet, offbeat stay close to nature with great food and warm hospitality,Fuschia is a fantastic choice.

We recently stayed at Serenity Homestay in Kotagiri, and it truly lives up to its name. Surrounded by tea estates and vegetable farms, it's a peaceful escape from the hustle of Ooty and Coonoor. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures — clean, spacious, and cozy, with enough room for families and plenty of open space for kids and pets to play safely within the secure lawn. Mr. Murali, the host, was warm, cheerful, and always ready to help with local tips or anything we needed. He lives nearby and made us feel right at home throughout our stay. The caretaker and cook, Priya, was equally wonderful — she prepared delicious South Indian meals and was always ready to assist us. She even set up a cozy campfire one evening, which made our trip even more memorable. With reliable Wi-Fi, two TVs, and thoughtful touches around the home, Serenity offers a perfect mix of comfort and nature. This has been one of our best Airbnb stays, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kotagiri.
