The Donkey Dairy is one of a kind! Nestled on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, this working donkey farm is home to a variety of friendly farm animals. On your visit you will be greeted by our alpacas, chickens, donkeys, horses, goats and even camels. If you would like to replace your cell phone’s morning alarm with the crowing of roosters or replace the hooting of cars with the braying of donkeys, the solar powered Donkey Dairy Cottage is the place for you! A traditional thatch bush home, The Lodge has been lovingly updated with modern, artistic character. Despite a short 1hr 10 min drive from the city, you'll be transported to the heart of nature in this 2,000 hectare game conservancy. Zebras, giraffes, baboons and buck roam freely with occasional visits to our drinking hole.

'River on my stoep'

'River on my stoep' is a well equipped self-catering cottage in the Hekpoort Valley. The wooden cabin is on the Magalies River and is surrounded by the sounds of nature - the haunting cry of a jackal and a chorus of frogs is our music at night. One of the few places that you can still see fire flies at night (in summer) A rowing boat is moored in front of the cottage, exclusively for our guests. 'Catch-and-release' fishing is permitted.

Thatch Outbuilding

This historic Cape Dutch house is situated in the heart of a very upmarket suburb in Rustenburg. Part of the house was destroyed by fire over 4 yrs ago, however, the dilapidated remains have been left in their original state for added tranquillity and to preserve historic significance. No words can do justice to the unique experience of this wonderful estate.
