We love to walk our dogs, or bike to Gordon Pond, in the Cape Henlopen State Park. The area is so peaceful, and we always get to see amazing wildlife. The trail is actually 17 miles long, and expanding. A great place to get away from the crowded beaches, maybe on days you're recovering from that sunburn. ;)

State park and bike trail. You can access the bike trail from the Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes or the Gordons Pond entrance coming from Ocean Drive in Rehoboth Beach.

A beautiful, natural state park that offers parking, beach access, a bike trail and beautiful vistas at every turn. This park does charge an entrance fee. If you go on the weekends in the summer, get there early as the parking lot can fill up quickly.
