This was the perfect place for our family of 5. It’s a modern and clean space with ice cold A/C and a solid Internet connection. Centrally located just steps from the Placencia sidewalk means short walks to Placencia Beach Club (they have a well-groomed beach area and pool), Barefoot, Tipsy Tuna and so much more. There’s a grocery store just a few steps away. The hosts are super responsive, friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others without reservation.

Tyra who worked the front desk was amazing. The location to the beach and reataurants, bank, market, shops was excellent. Our place was clean and perfect for our stay. Rodney answered all my questions.

We really enjoyed our time at this apartment. the host and staff were great. They were able to accommodate all our needs. It was peaceful but if you wanted lively you didn't have far to go. if you like beach life it was pretty prefect!

We had a wonderful 1 month stay at Jackl's. She was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. She has taken much care in decorating and providing amenities for her rentals. There was lots of beautiful/colourful tile work in the apt. and throughout the property. The kitchen had quality appliances and utensils. Jacki had given much thought to guests needs: nice beach towels, quality beach chairs, a clean sparking pool and bicycles that we used daily to go for groceries and many restaurants. It is easy to walk to one grocery store, a bank and a few restaurants. With the bicycles we were able to get to fruit stands and dozens more restaurants/bars with a 5 to 10 minute ride. So we were close enough to get to everything, including many beach front places, yet far enough away to have quiet There was also a wonderful inexpensive "beach club" with a pool/restaurant (where there was always a cool ocean breeze) and a coffee/ice cream/dessert/wine place, both 3 minutes walk away. Jacki is a wealth of knowledge that knows everyone. She helped with where to eat and making excursion plans. The location is north of the village (4 minute walk) or faster with the free bikes!! It’s peaceful and she also has a pool in the back!! Our apartment was very clean and we had everything we needed from a stove, fridge, coffee maker (she supplied coffee). One day she baked us some brownies for our morning excursion YUMMY!!! I enjoyed talking to her family on the top porch and learned about the local schools and other jobs. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It’s very close to the Beach Club which was a very relaxing day. I can’t say enough kind words about Jacki and her hospitality. We felt more like family than a couple on vacation!!!!! Thank you Jacki for the lifelong memories made at your place and we will see you again!!!!!!!

Stayed at Rodney’s once years ago with family. It was great then and just as great now. Everyone on site is super helpful. I’ve been coming to the village for years and this location is perfect. Walk to a coffee shop with amazing food and other bar restaurants within minutes. In some cases less than a minute. Would absolutely stay here again. As I have in the past!

Typically, I try to qualify a review somewhat so it's clear I'm not a paid or cyber reviewer. Really hard with Alux House--aka Belizean Retreat--which was pretty much faultless. Super clean, well-appointed, and easy, plenty of space inside for two of us and our diving stuff, nice outdoor space, great laundry room, amazingly well equipped kitchen, very helpful staff, spot on recommendations for local dining, etc., rental bikes well-maintained. Okay, the door lock mechanism was a bit finicky, and there's no direct ocean view. But you are two minutes from the water's edge on a lovely, leafy, and quiet side street, and three minutes from the heart of downtown. Just book it.

Jacki was the ultimate host. She is very warm and inviting, knows Placencia - and everyone in it! - so very helpful with what to do and when, and safety tips for a single gal traveling alone. Thank you, Jacki, for an incredible "real" experience in Belize!

We had a wonderful time at Judy’s guest house. The home was better than described, with each of the bedrooms set up as private apartments. We were able to unlock the connecting doors for a whole home feel, but everyone still had their privacy. The kitchens and bathrooms were clean and well appointed with thoughtful extras like coffee, filtered water and q-tips. There were bicycles, beach towels, and even a small cooler we could borrow. Great walkability to many local restaurants and shops. We would definitely recommend.
