Situated on 4 wooded acres overlooking the clean blue Atlantic, the cottage is just steps away from our private cove. An open floor plan w/studio bedroom, open living area, compact kitchen, and full bath (toilet/vanity inside, shower & soaking tub outside) are privately yours. Beautiful views throughout the cottage.

This private, waterfront retreat is secluded and peaceful with plenty of space to spread out—right on the water! At high tide, paddle out to Lords Island or take a trip down the peninsula. The local supermarket and gas station are just minutes away, yet the setting is completely rural. Head out to hike some of Maine's best trails or drive to Acadia National Park, The Bold Coast, Jasper Beach, Schoodic Point, or any of the amazing local rivers and lakes. Perfect for couples, families, or friends.

Mountain Cabin with a View in East Machias, Maine

Built in 2023, our cabin is located on a secluded mountain in East Machias, Maine. This small cabin has incredible views of the East Machias River from the front porch. We invite you to stay and enjoy sounds of native birds and watch the eagles soar overhead, the deer frolic through the trees, and wild turkeys that inhabit this wooded area. The cabin is constructed of lumber milled from our property. Our cozy cabin sleeps 4 adults comfortably but can sleep up to 5 total with a futon option.

Schoodic Loft Cabin "The Roost" with Kayaks

This playful cabin offers a unique spot to unwind and explore the Schoodic peninsula and Downeast Maine. Kayaks are provided to explore island studded 462 acre Jones pond, a 10 minute walk down a trail. A 10 minute drives brings you to the less visited Schoodic section of Acadia NP, where a network of hiking and biking trails lace the coastal forests and dramatic rocky coast. Nearby Winter Harbor has shops and restaurants and even a ferry across the bay to Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.

The cottage is immaculate with all amenities and is fully stocked. Enjoy your coffee while you watch the sunrise from your back deck as the local lobstermen get ready to haul their traps.

Meddybemps Lake is one of Down East Maine’s sparkling natural treasures. Our cabin sits on a point of land and provides everything you could wish in a cozy lakefront retreat. We love to say it is centrally located - to wilderness hiking in Moosehorn NWR, to Cobscook Bay, to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, to the beautiful friendly Down East towns of Machias, Eastport and Calais. The cabin itself is built of local pine and cedar, and sits on the lakefront among towering pine and spruce trees.

With peak ocean views as well as the first sunrise in the nation from our location across from Todd's Head, the mini-mansion offers a full kitchen, comfortable bedroom, outdoor 3 person hot tub, washer dryer, yard and ocean breezes. Strolling distance to the pier for a whale watch, the artistic downtown, and the brewery! There is a Weber grill, outdoor seating, bikes to use, books, games, record player and WIFI. We welcome your pets and your children :)
